Until Then

Here we shuffle through the sand,
strolling on the shoreline sea,
with us still linked hand to hand,
you smiled and ran, pulling me.

Deep into the woods we go,
I got lost in somewhere there.
Many pains to undergo-
But suddenly, you are here.

As I lean in close to you,
Countenance you often hide,
now broke free to something new,
never again what had lied.

Then pulled into your embrace,
you declared that you love me.
Stunned i went to search your face,
shocked that you wish my heart's key.

Just as they come, they are gone-
These images, you and me.
Sunshine floods, I sniffed a yawn,
waking to reality.

Morning light shines from outside,
Straight through my heart's window pane.
Sweet dreams come like rushing tide,
Just the same they part with bane.

Until when we walk the sand-
Shallow woods or hidden den-
Even apart from this land-
I'll be waiting... until then.
