Looking back to the past

I tried and died for things to stay the same, to last

I was so childish, so unreal

Black can't be white and yellow never teal

Looking toward the future

I can only prey to make the best of what is there

For I can't cage what needs to die

But always hide it well with laughter or sometimes a sigh

Living in the present

I see her now but I resent

Not having to hold this lady before the letter

Loving her now and never later

I laugh at myself for whats been done

funny how for her, I've ran and run
